- On March 22, 1998, an 18 and 23 year old man were buried alive by having a mud wall bulldozed on top of them as they were found guilty of engaging in sodomy.
- On September 4, 2011, three Iranian men were hung in a prison after being charged with "lavat" which means sexual intercourse between two men.
- In May 2012 Iran executed four men that were charged and found guilty of "Lavat."
- The Iraqi government was found out to have know about the massacres taking place since Feb. 6th 2012 and and have backed the massacres.
- 12 Gay men face execution in Libya in November, 2012. The 12 men were abducted by a Libyan Islamist militia group.
