Overview
- Throughout the countries within in the Middle East such as Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and others individuals of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered community are subject to acts of violence due to their sexual orientation.
- Much of this violence that the LGBT community endures is due to the Islam Religions strict adherence to the Quaran, which criminalizes homosexuality, and results in many of the countries within the Middle East to have strict laws prohibiting homosexuality as well.
- This sites purpose is to shine the light on the unfair and inhumane treatment these individuals must endure just because their sexual orientation does not match the quote on quote "societal norm" of the country they live in.
